‘All the world ‘s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.’
(William Shakespeare As You Like it Act 2, Scene 7)
Most of the people has heard this famous quote from William Shakespeare before, but I don’t think many of us have ever thought that it is actually true. I mean not metaphorically. Literally the world is a stage, or a big live movie. Every person is a player and a spectator as well: we watch the things happening around as and we play our roles when it’s time.
What is the biggest proof? Think of it, at the end of one’s life, what is the biggest thing he or she created? The answer is: a story. A story where things happened. Meeting new people, visiting places, solving difficulties even the not pleasant ones sums up in a big story of his/her life.
You may ask now: so what? Why does it help me? The answer is: a lot. Looking to the life from this perspective will change everything. I’m sure you will look at life from a totally different point of view. I will explain in the further posts why.
If you are able to look at your life as a movie than you will be able to enjoy watching it instead of constantly worrying about the future. You can just sit down, relax and enjoy what you see at the moment instead of constantly working on a better future. When you watch a movie you can experience excitement, fear, happiness, love or any other feeling, but you will not worry too much, because it is just a movie at the end. In life we experience the same things, but cannot stand not to worry, because it is real, the bet is huge.
On the other hand you will have the freedom to play your role. You will have the freedom to do things, to try what you’d like. The job of an actor is to play after all.
